Filling: Rotary filling machines are used to fill containers with the product.

Because of the high production volumes involved, the reaction time of the PLC can be too slow. Special hardware such as "high speed counter cards" are used to track the position of the filling machine.

Multiple Container Sizes :

For machines running multiple container size the PLC software will track the position of the containers.

Weighing: To comply with consumer standards accurate weighing of the product is required. Communication cards are used to interface the weighing equipment with the PLC.

Labelling:

Wrap-around, wipe-on, or front and back labels can be applied to the container. Camera sensors are used to check that the labels are correctly positioned before dispatching the product.
